)-- Strategic HR Advisors today announced the formation of a strategic business alliance to market manufacturing services in China. With offices in Beijing and Shanghai, their affiliate focuses on providing China contract manufacturing and sourcing services to small and mid-size companies in high cost countries.
W. Wayne Perrett, President of Strategic HR Advisors, said that this step will enhance the offerings available to help small to mid-size enterprises retain business or win new business.
The challenge for small to mid-size companies is that since their competitors are already buying from low cost countries (LLC), the chances are they have to do so too in order to retain existing or win new business. The number one risk however is that small and mid-size companies do not have the skills to properly oversee LLC suppliers in the same manner that they deal with their domestic suppliers. In addition, opening LLC support offices is simply not an option promarily due to the relatively small value of such an operation and the cost of establishing a dedicated LLC office.
