The Gateway Family YMCA Announces New Officers for the 2014-2015 Board of Directors

Woodbridge, NJ, September 09, 2014 --(PR.com)-- During their recent monthly meeting, The Gateway Family YMCA appointed new officers to lead the Board of Directors for the 2014-2015 term of office. The new officers are Joseph R. Venezia, Maser Consulting, President, James Masterson, Union Township Chamber of Commerce, Vice President, Eugene Maxwell, Wardlaw-Hartridge School, Vice President, Michael Minitelli, Lutz Commercial Realty, Treasurer, John Forrester, Boynton and Boynton, Assistant Treasurer, and Sharon Patel, Patel Printing, Secretary. John Ludington, United Water, Past President stated, “This has been a great experience, and with the selection of new officers, I’m sure the Board is in good hands and ready to serve the community.”

Appointed to the Board of Directors in 2010, Joseph Venezia was inducted as the new President of the Board of Directors. He stated, “I want to make sure that everyone knows all the good the Y does that they might not be aware of. I want to ask them to join me on this mission to impact the lives of children, adults and families. I see myself working hand in hand with Krystal R. Canady, our CEO, to raise money through our annual campaign. Krystal and I will be partners in educating and exciting our members and the community about The Gateway Family YMCA and the impact we are having daily. If I can help raise our member’s awareness, and along with it money so the Y can serve more people, then I will know I have fulfilled my goal as the Board President.”

Krystal R. Canady, Chief Executive Officer of The Gateway Family YMCA added, “We are excited for the future of our YMCA. The Board of Directors will continue to lead us to great things in the years to come.” The Gateway Family YMCA Board of Directors includes Mark De Noble, Retired Baltusrol Golf Club, Karen Ensle, Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Union County, Paul Fernandez, Union County Cancer Coalition and Union Township Municipal Drug Alliance, Philip Krevsky, Krevsky, Silber & Bergen, Anadir Liranzo, Omega Maintenance Corp., Eugene Mitchell, Spencer Savings Bank, Elsa M. Muniz, Northfield Bank, Ann Zwiebel Revaitis, RSI Bank, Calvin Sierra, Imperial Weld Ring.

When asked to describe his work with the YMCA in one word, Joseph Venezia stated, “Fulfilled. We can change lives every day from some of our youngest members at 6 weeks to our senior members.” The Gateway Family YMCA serves the members of the communities surrounding branches in Elizabeth, Rahway and Union, NJ, providing quality programs and services to all, including residential and emergency housing, the Diabetes Prevention Program, WISE Adult Day Services, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA and Early Learning Readiness.
