Laboratory Testing NDT Technical Coordinator to Present at 2014 ASNT Annual Conference

LTI employee Phil Trach will present “Introducing Young People to NDT” at the 2014 ASNT Annual Conference. The presentation instructs professionals on a proven process for passing on nondestructive testing knowledge and for generating interest in the field with the next generation of potential NDT practitioners. The conference will be held in Charleston, SC on October 27-30, 2014.

Hatfield, PA, October 05, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Phil Trach, NDT Technical Coordinator and Ultrasonic Testing Level III at Laboratory Testing Inc., will speak at the 2014 ASNT Conference. His presentation, entitled “Introducing Young People to NDT,” will be geared towards informing attendees about how to effectively prepare, practice, and present an introductory lesson in Nondestructive Testing to the younger generation, ranging from children of elementary school age through undergraduate university students who are not currently pursuing a career in Nondestructive Testing. The ASNT Conference will be held at the Charleston Convention Center in Charleston, SC on October 27-30, 2014.

According to Phil Trach, “As the current population of NDT practitioners ages, it becomes necessary for the industry to recruit and train new practitioners. Most potential NDT professionals have little or no direct connection to NDT. Therefore, active recruitment of young people into NDT is necessary.”
