NewAge(R) Industries Promotes from Within for Director of Sales Position; Responsibilities Include Sales Objectives, Productivity and Effectiveness
Michael R. Allard has been promoted to Director of Sales for NewAge Industries, Inc. Previously Allard was the company’s Global Sales Manager for its AdvantaPure(R) high purity products. In his new role, he will work with other department directors to plan, prioritize and attain NewAge’s goals. Allard will also be responsible for managing and staffing the sales team, establishing and achieving departmental targets and working with key customers and distributors.
“Mike is a key asset to the company,” stated Ken Baker, CEO. “He has complete understanding of how we want to progress, both with product development and sales growth, and has the knowledge and strategic ideas to help us get there.”
In his new position Allard will oversee sales for NewAge Industries’ industrial tubing and hose and for AdvantaPure’s biopharmaceutical tubing and Single-Use technologies. He will remain a visible key team member, meeting with customers and distributors and using his application engineering skills. Allard will also work with other company department leaders on corporate planning and implementation and will be responsible for all sales team staffing.
Additional duties include:
- Responsibility for the productivity and effectiveness of the sales team
- Develop sales strategies to meet overall company objectives
- Develop department budgetary requirements
- Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback
- Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions
- Manage key customer relationships and participate in partnership opportunities
Prior to working with NewAge Industries, Allard’s employment included sales management positions at biotechnology and pharmaceutical component distributors, international sales at a semiconductor equipment manufacturer and sales representation and management at companies involved with plastics, instrumentation and sensing devices. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and a master’s in Business Administration, both from the University of Massachusetts.
