Long Island Exchange; Launches Private Seller Listings

Company responds to public for dealer-only open to be lifted; allow regional service to private sellers.

Lindenhurst, NY, January 04, 2015 --(, the premiere destination on the web for consumers to quickly and easily find the quality used cars they’re looking for in the Long Island area, announced today the launch of their new Private Seller Listings, a long in-demand service that allows Long Island-area residents to make use of the same power, scope, and recognition that major Long island car dealerships have been taking advantage of to clear out their inventories to satisfied customers in record-breaking numbers. The marketing strength and visibility of is now available to the public, one and all, to use to get their used cars sold, and sold fast. is an internet portal where both pre-owned vehicle dealerships and private sellers can list their inventories to customers in Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, and Brooklyn counties, as well as New York City; this allows buyers to browse the largest selection of used cars local to their area all in one comprehensive website instead of having to wade through the convoluted route of print newspapers, random online ads, and other classified sites, according to John Colascione, Founder and President of Searchen Networks Inc., an Internet marketing and digital media corporation based on Long Island, New York and’s parent company.

“When I created, it was with one single, focused purpose- it was initially just a website designed to advertise the inventories of various Long Island-based dealerships, all on one single website. This way, consumers could find what they were looking for in one place, as opposed to having to look on ten or more,” he said. “Using traditional methods, a buyer may eventually track down the make or model they’re looking for, but by the time they find it, that car could be in Ohio. With, you can find what you’re looking for quickly, easily, and locally, and with literally no hassle, as we do the searching for you.”

However, the positive feedback from the dealers enjoying the successes of advertising their inventories on created an unexpected result; private buyers were also sitting up and taking notice of how easy the website was when it comes to getting large numbers of cars out into the light of day, and – more importantly – sold quickly and easily. As a result, Colascione said, he started getting several requests from private sellers for inclusion on’s, requests that he said he initially wasn’t able to provide the solution...until now, that is.

“I kept getting great feedback on’s search features, and along with that feedback typically came the request from people to be able list their own cars on the website as well. Unfortunately, I had to keep turning those requests down because the site was primarily just for dealers,” he said. “However, after being inundated with requests, I’ve finally decided to give the public what they’ve been asking for any open up to private sellers. Now, anyone can go on the site and list their car for sale.”

For a small fee of $29, private sellers can maintain a listing for their vehicle on the website for 90 days; if their car doesn’t sell, there is a lesser renewal fee at the end of the 90 day period. However, with the large amount of public traffic and dealerships that frequent the site, it’s pretty much a given that any pre-owned car, truck, or SUV listed on will be sold before their owners know it.

Another groundbreaking way that removes the red tape ensnaring many vehicle sellers is through the introduction of their brand-new VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) number feature; instead of having to painstakingly enter each and every little detail about the car you’re selling, you simply enter the VIN number; does the rest, according to Colascione.

“After you enter you VIN number, the website will scan that number and input most details for you,” he said. “So, the make, model, year, color, interior...all the basics will be automatically populated into the car’s profile, and all you have to do after that is fill in the little details; the lion’s share of the work will have already been done for you. It’s just another service that’s exclusive to, and it’s what helps separates us from the competition.”’s Private Seller Listings are available now for residents of Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, and Brooklyn counties, as well as residents of New York City, to list their used vehicles. Major car dealerships have been taking advantage of the power of to get their inventories sold, and with the launch of Private Seller Listings, that same advantage will be in the public’s hands as well. Visit today to list your pre-owned car, truck, or SUV. enjoys a strategic partnership with several high-profile Long Island-based online publications – including Long Island Exchange, The Guide to Everything That Is Long Island, and cutting-edge newspaper, that serve to broaden its scope and customer selection; all three entities are under the banner of parent company Searchen Networks Inc.
