About Tom Scotton:

Mr. Scotton has more than thirty years of experience working in the application of Digital Manufacturing technology solutions. He started his career as a Research Engineer at the venerable United Technologies Research Center (UTRC) developing automated assembly and other robotic application workcells. In 2005 he began his tenure as Senior Adviser and Director, Modeling and Simulation for the nationally recognized Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CCAT) working on the National Aerospace and Leadership Initiative project funded by the USAF. At CCAT he also conceived and helped to initiate their Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC). Tom has advised numerous manufacturing SMEs throughout New England and Fortune 100 companies helping them uncover new efficiencies and effectiveness on their shop floor through the use of software and hardware solutions. He is a frequent lecturer at nationally recognized symposiums and conferences.
