MEDC Releases 2014 Annual Report, Elects New Board Members

Marlborough Economic Development Corporation showcases the year's highlights.

Marlborough, MA, February 08, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Marlborough Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) has issued its 2014 Annual Report. Executive Director Tim Cummings presented the report at the organization’s annual Board of Directors meeting held on January 21, 2015. The report outlines the various initiatives through which the organization has been helping to expand Marlborough’s tax base, develop its downtown area, and build its brand image in 2014.

“The MEDC has worked very hard to promote the numerous benefits Marlborough offers to developers and businesses,” said Cummings, “and it is very rewarding to see that our efforts are paying off for the city, as well as its businesses and residents. Marlborough is growing in economic strength, and we see this in terms of new companies moving in, existing businesses expanding, and property values rising, but also in terms of job creation, infrastructure improvements, and ultimately stabilizing the residential tax rate.”

During the meeting, the MEDC board elected the following five new members: Lauren Baker – Boston Biomedical Associates, Brian Bouvier – Bouvier Pharmacy, Molly Brodeur – Al Brodeur’s Auto Body, Doug Kehlhem - MassEcon, and Douglas Rowe, Esq. - Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce.

The following board members are returning to serve the MEDC for another term: Sem Aykanian, Arthur Bergeron, Chris Berglund, Walter Bonin, Ellen Carlucci, David Ferris, Rick Grady, Robert Kays, Kevin Malloy, Robert McCabe, David K. McCay, Greg Mitrakas, Michael Murphy, William Pezzoni, Patricia Pope, Joe Santos, Richard Tomanek, Wes Tuttle, Arthur Vigeant, Dave Walton.
