Author Launches Kickstarter Campaign to Fund Memoir

Portland, OR, April 25, 2015 --(PR.com)-- On April 21, 2015, Lisa WenDell launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to self-publish her introspective memoir, Love Lisa, documenting the 90 days she spent in drug and alcohol rehab. The memoir chronicles her battle to overcome a deadly drug addiction and is a brutally honest account of the ups, downs, laughter and tears she learned to embrace in residential treatment.

“I wanted to give an honest look at the adventure that is rehab while showcasing the gut-wrenching work I did, but also giving my readers an up close look at the entertaining personalities that helped me get there. My hope is that I’ve created something that will have my audience laughing and crying and cheering me on from the first page to the last,” WenDell says.

While her requested funding is modest ($3500.00) and offers backers who pledge at least $50.00 first dibs on the October release of her memoir, WenDell hopes to spark enough interest to take the book to the next level and see it published on a much larger scale. Love Lisa’s Kickstarter campaign follows the launch of WenDell’s personal blog by the same name. The campaign is scheduled to end on June 3, 2015.
