(Chi), a leader in clinical laboratory consulting and management for more than thirty years, announced today that Mike Kachure, Vice President of Business Development, will speak in two sessions of the educational management track at the Ohio Collaborative Laboratory Conference on Friday, May 8, 2015, at the Crowne Plaza North, Columbus, Ohio. The American Association of Clinical Chemistry (AACC), American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science-Ohio (ASCLS-OH), and the Clinical Laboratory Management Association (CLMA) are all participating organizations hosting this annual event.
In two, one-hour sessions, Mr. Kachure has planned two informative presentations: “Creating Laboratory Value: Strategies to Make Your Hospital Lab an Economic Engine” and “Extraordinary Results: Defining the Point of Inflection in Your Laboratory.” In each session, Mr. Kachure will address the changing climate in healthcare that is impacting hospital-based and independent laboratories and forcing them to not only reduce costs but seek out opportunities to develop new revenue streams and gain market share.

Mr. Kachure brings his experience of more than two decades in clinical laboratory and diagnostic sales to this audience. He currently manages Chi’s business development resources and processes to meet or exceed revenue goals, working with consultants and executives to close more complex, high value sales. Previously, Mr. Kachure served as regional sales manager for several startup and established clinical and anatomic pathology laboratory firms, developing and executing strategies that guided his teams to outstanding revenue achievements. As a sales representative, he received many company commendations for surpassing sales targets. A resident of northeast Ohio, Mr. Kachure earned his Bachelor of Science in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and served in the Army as a 1st and 2nd Lieutenant, Combat Engineer.
