SIIA Presents the "Peter Jackson Innovation Award" to Webb Shaw, a B2B Industry Leader

Prestigious Award Honors Innovators in Memory of the Late Thomson Reuters Digital Content Pioneer.

Washington, DC, June 18, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal trade association for the software and digital content industries, presented the third annual Peter Jackson Innovation Award to Webb Shaw, retired Vice President of Editorial Resources at J.J. Keller & Associates. The Peter Jackson Innovation Award honors the late Thomson Reuters Vice President and Chief Scientist, and his profound impact on the B2B publishing industry. The award was presented during the SIIA’s annual CODiE Awards Ceremony, held in conjunction with the ABM & Information Industry Summit.

“The Peter E. Jackson Innovation Award recognizes individuals who are an inspiration to the entire information industry,” said Michael Marchesano, Managing Director of CISD & ABM divisions at SIIA. "Webb Shaw is an innovator who has had a profound impact on the B2B publishing industry. He is someone who is generous and inspirational to the people around him, and has been a great contributor to SIIA and our community."

It is also humbling, because I could not have accomplished what I have without the contributions of many others. I am especially grateful for the support and encouragement of my colleagues for over 22 years at J. J. Keller, as well as the staff and membership of SIIA."

The Peter Jackson Innovation Award was given to Shaw In addition to the award, a donation of $1,000 will be made in Shaw’s name to the Peter Jackson Fund for Keyboard and Guitar at the MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis. The Peter Jackson Fund for Keyboard and Guitar recognizes the profound impact of music on Dr. Jackson’s life by providing music lessons for disadvantaged children.
