Long Term Care Insurance Association Launches Short Term Care Website

A website for the National Advisory Center for Short Term Care Information was launched today by the American Association for Long Term Care Insurance.

Los Angeles, CA, June 21, 2015 --(PR.com)-- A new website focused on providing both consumers and insurance professionals with information on short term care planning options was launched today by the American Association for Long Term Care Insurance.

"The National Advisory Center for Short Term Care Information was established to support our efforts to heighten awareness for this very viable planning option," explains Jesse Slome, director of the American Association for Long Term Care Insurance (AALTCI). Short term care insurance, often referred to as Recovery Care insurance, provides benefits for less than a year.

There are several markets for this product according to the AALTCI director. "For many consumers, the cost of traditional long-term care insurance is too expensive and for others meeting the health requirements can be a problem," Slome explains. Short term care options are available in a number of states and the organization's executive hopes more states will consider making this valuable protection available for consumers in their state.

"The launch of the new website is just the beginning of our efforts," Slome adds. To learn more about short term care visit the National Advisory Center for Short Term Care Information website www.shorttermcareinsurance.org.
