One of the biggest tax breaks for manufacturing firms, the ‘Manufacturing Deduction’, is available under Section 199 of the tax code. Some manufacturers may not be entitled to claim this tax deduction. Hence, to eliminate the confusion, the Large Business and International (LB&I) division of the IRS has issued new guidance for auditors.
