Be a Gift Card Re-Gifter This Holiday Season and Help Fans Across America® Provide Support to Families with Seriously Ill Children

Phoenix, AZ, December 06, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Based on a recent survey from Consumer Reports, nearly 27% of adults surveyed who received a gift card during last year's holiday season still had not used it almost a year later. Rather than sticking that gift card in your purse, wallet or burying it in a drawer to be forgotten, choose to be a gift card re-gifter and help the Fans Across America® Charitable Foundation provide additional support to families with seriously ill children.

Fans Across America is a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization that was created to help families with seriously ill children better face the financial burden that comes with a life-threatening diagnosis so that they can focus on what really matters...their child. So whether it's a gift card you will never use, one that has a small balance remaining or you just want to be a gift card re-gifter, Fans Across America can use these cards to provide additional assistance to these families during the most difficult times. And as an added benefit, the re-gifter receives an IRS tax-deduction based on the value of the gift card.

"There are so many families with seriously ill children in need of help just in the Phoenix market. By becoming a gift card re-gifter, Fans Across America will have access to an additional resource to provide even greater assistance to these families," said Founder Bruce Petillo. "Say you have a grocery card that only has $5 left on it. If we receive 20 of those $5 cards, then we can provide $100 of assistance to a family to help with some of the life expenses associated with the illness."

Some great examples of re-gifted gift cards include: restaurants, grocery stores, retail outlets, entertainment venues, gas stations and auto care centers.

To be a gift card re-gifter and help the Fans Across America Charitable Foundation provide hope, opportunity and support to families with seriously ill children, please mail the gift card along with your name and email address to the following address:

Fans Across America Charitable Foundation
23844 S. Power Rd., Suite 102-188
Queen Creek, AZ 85242

Once the gift card has been received and logged for tracking purposes, Fans Across America will email you a receipt for your tax-deductible contribution. When possible, the Foundation will also notify you via email when the card has been distributed to a family in need.
