)-- Child Care Associates (CCA) has named Karanae Spradlin to the newly created position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective Oct. 5, 2015.

"Karanae is an accomplished finance executive in nonprofits as well as private companies with a focus on healthcare, socio-economic and family services, foundations and employee benefit industries. Her experience and leadership will be invaluable as our organization continues to grow in scope and offerings.”
Ms. Spradlin brings with her over 13 years of experience in the nonprofit industry. Most recently, she served for three years as Chief Financial Officer at the James L. West Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Fort Worth, Texas. She also has over 10 years of audit experience at Whitley Penn LLC, including an international secondment with Nelson Wheeler in Adelaide, Australia.
Ms. Spradlin is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), the Fort Worth Chamber of Women Influencing Business, and Financial Executives International. She received a B.A. from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
Ms. Teresa Williamson, CCA’s longtime Director of Finance, will continue in that role.

Child Care Associates is a $70m not-for-profit child development agency that operates 24 early learning centers in Fort Worth, Arlington and across Tarrant County employing nearly 500 early childhood educators, specialists and staff to deliver Head Start and Early Head Start services.
