GE Signs New Collaborations with Danish Industry

General Electric Company joined leaders from four Danish companies to sign new collaboration agreements.

Copenhagen, Denmark, December 03, 2015 --(PR.com)-- GE is a key partner on the Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet platform, one of the entries in the Danish Fighter Replacement Program. The collaboration agreements outline the potential for GE to develop programs with Danish companies to establish long-term impact to the Danish aerospace industry.

The four separate agreements signed by GE with Bruel & Kjaer Sound & Vibration Measurement, A/S (Bruel & Kjaer), Danish Aerotech, A/S (Danish Aerotech), Flatirons Danmark, A/S (Flatirons) and Scandinavian Avionics A/S (SA) outline various aerospace-related pursuits with the Danish organizations, ranging from digital technical publications, repair and maintenance - and potential expansion of existing business.

GE currently has about 170 employees in Denmark in the energy, healthcare and oil and gas industries. GE industrial revenue in Denmark for 2014 was approximately $225 million (USD). The four new agreements could help bolster the GE footprint in Denmark including growth into the commercial and military aerospace industry.

“GE currently has a strong presence in Denmark in the energy, healthcare and oil and gas industries - and with these new agreements, looks forward to establishing similar long-term ties with Danish industry as we grow and expand our presence in the Danish aerospace segment,” said Hans Enocson, CEO, GE Nordic.

The collaboration agreements are in addition to GE’s existing business relationships with Flatirons and Bruel & Kjaer. Flatirons is a leader in the digital technical publications and service manual business, while Bruel & Kjaer, is a stalwart in the sound and vibration measurement analysis industry, including applications in aircraft engine test cells and turbine engines. Marked by the collaboration agreements, GE looks to explore and grow opportunities with Danish Aerotech, including maintenance and overhaul capability and logistical support in the military and commercial aerospace. Growth opportunities are also presented with SA in the aerospace segment, including various repair and maintenance in avionics systems.
