Career Step has been named as one of the Best Companies to Work For in Utah and is one of the top 13 small companies included on this year’s list.

Provo, UT, December 17, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Career Step, an online provider of career-focused education and corporate training, has been named as one of the Best Companies to Work For in Utah. The company was honored at Utah Business Magazine’s annual event and is one of the top 13 small companies included on this year’s list.

“We are thrilled to be honored as one of the Best Companies to Work For in Utah,” said Career Step President and CEO Steve Tober. “Receiving this recognition has been the primary goal I set for our company from the day I arrived at Career Step. I believe that if you provide your employees with an environment that rewards, recognizes and provides real career development then you can delight your customers and the financial results will follow. I am so excited that we have been included this year as it is truly a reflection of our amazing team. The people who work at Career Step are incredible, and I am grateful every day for the opportunity I have to be here.”

The 2015 Best Companies to Work For list was compiled by Utah Business Magazine. The objective process was largely based on employee surveys completed by a majority of the applying companies’ employees with the results being independently reviewed before final decisions were made on which organizations made the cut. Fifty companies were included on this year’s list in micro, small, medium and large categories.

Career Step had nearly 100 percent of its employees complete the survey, and the results placed it with the top 13 small companies in the state of Utah. (Small companies were defined as those with 41 to 99 employees.) The top perks of working at Career Step cited in the employee surveys were high starting salaries, 401(k) matching, tuition reimbursement, a comprehensive wellness program, and gym membership reimbursement. The company will also be moving into a new state-of-the-art facility in the first quarter of 2016.

“Our mission at Career Step centers on changing and improving lives through education, and our employees are at the core of fulfilling this—we want to change their lives for the better too,” said Career Step Vice President of People Strategy Allen Miller. “We have worked deliberately and with great intention to build a culture that enables our employees to be successful because as we take care of them everything else falls into place.”
