Morganti Named Adams and Reese Public Finance Team Leader

Baton Rouge, LA, March 16, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Adams and Reese is proud to announce that bond counsel and economic development attorney, Tracy Averett Morganti, a partner in the firm’s Baton Rouge office, has been named Public Finance Practice Team Leader of the multidisciplinary law firm.

Adams and Reese has a long-standing reputation for its strength in public finance, economic development and the government relations arenas. As Public Finance Team Leader, Morganti now leads the firm’s Public Finance Team, throughout 16 offices across 15 markets in seven states and Washington, D.C.

Of her appointment as team leader, Morganti commented: “I am honored and excited to lead our very talented Public Finance Team, which has extensive experience in every facet of municipal finance law representing issuers, underwriters, borrowers, bond purchasers and trustee banks.”

Morganti serves as bond counsel and issuer’s counsel to various state agencies, government entities and public trusts, and as underwriter’s counsel for various investment banking firms. Additionally, she serves as letter of credit counsel and purchaser's counsel to banks in connection with credit enhancement for taxable and tax-exempt financings and purchases of bonds. She has greatly contributed to the firm's public finance practice with her underwriter's counsel knowledge and brought to the firm experience in health care and higher education finance. She also represents private companies and state and local government entities and instrumentalities in the negotiation of economic incentives and public/private partnerships to promote business, industrial and commercial economic development. Morganti joined Adams and Reese in 2007 with a multifaceted practice concentrating on the areas of state, and local government, higher education and health care financing and economic development.

Morganti continued, “It is very rewarding to see the results of our Public Finance Team's hard work in bricks and mortar. We have assisted in the financing of billions of dollars for hospitals, schools, roads, bridges, public buildings, utilities systems, and all types of for-profit and not-for-profit industrial and commercial facilities across the Southeastern United States.”

Morganti earned her J.D. from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center of Louisiana State University in 1992, where she was on the Chancellor’s List and selected for membership in Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. In 1988, she graduated from Louisiana State University with her Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She also completed undergraduate studies at West Georgia College in Carrollton, Georgia, where she was selected for membership in Alpha Lambda Delta National Freshman Women's Honor Society and Phi Sigma Iota National Foreign Language Honor Society.

In the community and in her professional service, Tracy serves on the Board of Directors of Big River Economic and Agricultural Development Alliance, a nonprofit organization which supports farmers and foods artisans and operates the local farmers markets, and she is a founding member, and serves of the Board of Directors, of the Louisiana Chapter of Women in Public Finance.
