Worcester, MA, On Saturday, February 2, 2008 from 10AM—5PM, mymetroMAMA.com hosts its first annual Kid’s Expo. The one day event promises a fun-filled day of activities, music, entertainment, sharing of information, demonstrations, and an opportunity to let young kids explore and play while their parents browse the displays of many vendors from all over Massachusetts and New England. It’s a great cure for cabin fever in the winter for the entire family.

Kids' Expo is the brainchild of Sarah Kyriazis, Founder of mymetroMAMA.com in partnership with Teeter Tots European Children's Clothing. mymetroMAMA.com was launched in June, 2007 and offers an online resource and networking community for parents raising kids ages 0-college bound as well as for all others who deal with children and young family needs. Families of Worcester County, MetroWest and beyond now have access to a one-of-kind, centralized resource directory that offers unlimited categories of resources, services, products, topics and much more at a click of the mouse. With the first annual Kid’s Expo Kyriazis’ goal is to bring together arts and crafts, businesses, entertainment, products and more for the benefit of families in the Worcester/MetroWest and Central Mass region.

mymetroMAMA’s Kid’s Expo not only brings together artists, musicians, entertainers and vendors from the region, but all proceeds from the raffle sales go to Child Protection Resources, Inc., a non-profit fingerprinting and child safety ID organization out of Marlborough, MA. Participating vendors are each donating an item for the raffle. Per Kyriazis’ wishes based on the success of her online resource center that also focuses on the site’s community building efforts, she wants to be able to give back to local organizations that focus on child safety, protection and awareness. Kyriazis relays, “My hope is that our first Kid’s Expo spotlights Worcester/MetroWest as having a large family community and brings families together for a fun-filled day and networking opportunities for vendors. But most importantly, I also want the money to stay right here in the community and to support organizations such as Child Protection Resources and their great child protection services.”
