The Lisa Beth Gerstman Foundation Partners with The Gateway Family YMCA

Foundation provides funding for Summer Camp.

Union, NJ, August 07, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Lisa Beth Gerstman Foundation is partnering with The Gateway Family YMCA – Five Points Branch to provide $12,000 in grant funding for children with special needs to attend summer camp at the YMCA. “We are grateful to the Lisa Beth Gerstman Foundation for their dedication to the children in our community and their support of our YMCA,” stated Krystal R. Canady, CEO of The Gateway Family YMCA.

“The grant from the Lisa Beth Gerstman Foundation helped provide families with summer camp scholarships, the hiring of additional qualified staff and summer camp staff training,” stated Danielle Cioffi, District Executive Director, The Gateway Family YMCA. The Five Points Branch, located at 201 Tucker Avenue, Union NJ provides summer day camp programs, as well as year-round child care, before and after school programs, holiday break programs, youth sports and swimming.

The Lisa Beth Gerstman Foundation believes that every child deserves the opportunity to participate in safe, caring, and fun learning environments. The Foundation's primary goal is to allow each special needs child the chance to build self-esteem and friendships through summer camping programs. The Foundation provides funding to accredited day camps that offer integrated programs that includes accredited counselors, wheelchair-accessibility, one-on-one swimming instruction, a caring environment for children and so much more.

The Y is a positive force in the community.
