Advanced Film Solutions Announces CP Films Becomes First Window Film Manufacturer to Receive NFRC Certification

Advanced Film Solutions Tampa Bay Vista Window Films is pleased to announce that their film manufacturer CP Films has become the first Window Film company to obtain certification by the National Fenestration Rating Council. This important rating provides documented performance attributes of retrofit window film installation on clear glass for residential and commercial glass envelope.

Tampa, FL, January 18, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Advanced Film Solutions, Tampa Bay Vista and FormulaOne Window Films is pleased to announce that their window film provider, CP Films, has received certification of their window film products from the National Fenestration Rating Council. The NFRC is an independent, non profit organization formed to service the public good through education and research with support from the US Department of Energy (DOE).

"This certification gives CPFilms increased credibility and offers increased value to the consumer in addition to demonstrating the commitment by CPFilms to show potential customers that they have taken that extra step to verify the energy performance of our products," advised Mike Feldman, President of Advanced Film Solutions, Inc. Feldman points out that "this establishes a level playing field for manufacturers, whether large or small, so they can accurately show their products’ certified energy performance ratings."

Certification is also intrinsic for enabling the window film industry to work along with the U.S Dept. of Energy in developing the Energy Star Qualified window film products. DOE has needed a methodology for ensuring accurate film on glass performance for qualified products before they could start working on this Energy Star program.

Advanced Film Solutions represents CP Films, Vista Films and Llumar Window Films & FormulaOne Car Film in the Tampa Bay region.

"Consumers can now feel assured when they consider energy alternatives and retrofit solutions to upgrade the performance of their windows." Mike Feldman added. "Certainly it now encourages residents who are trying to reduce their energy usage to consider improving their existing glass with our window film rather than replacing their windows completely." Mr. Feldman notes.

"The added benefit of TECO and Progress Energy Window Film Rebates makes this an exciting time to be a CP Films, Vista and Llumar solar control window film provider".
