)-- Titan Creative Design has today reiterated that it is not considering the sale of part of all of its operations in the Asia Pacific region. A recent acquisition of Singapore-based rival PDM by New York Stock Exchange-listed real estate firm, JLL has prompted a flurry of speculation that Titan Creative Design could be in talks to sell itself to a larger suitor.
The JLL/PDM deal will see the former acquire its target’s design and construction expertise and its presence in the APAC region for an undisclosed sum.
Titan Creative Design will continue to develop its plans to expand into office furniture and interior design independently of any larger partner or owner according to Nic Chohan, Titan Creative Design’s CEO.
“While we are not interested in being acquired at this time, the JLL/PDM deal does serve to illustrate the appeal of the segment of the market we are targeting,” says Mr. Chohan.
Lloyd Neri, the firm’s design director believes the JLL/PDM transaction will inevitably increase speculation about consolidation within the industry.
“I’m not involved with the business aspect of what we do but I do know that vision, expertise and high creativity are always in demand and, if that’s anything to go by, I’d expect conjecture around Titan Creative Design to continue since we’ve assembled what, in my opinion, is one of the best creative teams in the entire region. I’m heartened by Nic [Chohan’s] reaffirmation of the company’s lack of interest in being acquired because it means that the autonomy we have will be preserved going forward,” he said.
