Helper4U.in Selected as a 2016 Red Herring Top 100 Asia Winner

Mumbai, India, October 07, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Last week Helper4U.in was adjudged one of the winners of Red Herring Top 100 Asia award for 2016. The award recognizes the innovations by leading private companies and technologies across respective industries from the region.

Helper4U.in was selected for its innovative model of helping unskilled and uneducated people get jobs, and to help employers hire blue collared workers at a low cost, without the need of any middleman.

Helper4U.in is a mobile enabled internet portal, having an online database of ABCDE: Aya, Bai, Cook, Driver and Everyone similar, currently live in Mumbai and Pune. Employers can directly find candidates in their locality interested in the job, and call them to interview and hire. The process is dependent on the Job Seeker having a mobile number, and the employer having Internet access. The matchmaking is technologically enabled, with minimal human intervention needed.

The company was launched in August 2014 and has since then helped unskilled and uneducated people in Mumbai and Pune, and similar migrants from other cities and towns, get suitable employment opportunities, without any fees or exploitation. At the other end of the spectrum it offers ease, cost effectiveness and speed in hiring blue collared workers for the employers. Working in a challenging segment, Helper4U.in has fine-tuned its business model, and is now looking to expand across India.

“Helper4U.in was also the recipient of the $250,000 award from Facebook under the Internet.org competition in India in 2016, for helping migrants using technology. That award has helped the company stay bootstrapped so far. The Red Herring Asia Top 100 award is another important milestone, as we look for expansion now,” said Meenakshi G Jain, CEO of Helper4U.in.

The winners were evaluated on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technological innovation and intellectual property, DNA of the founders, business model, customer footprint and market penetration Red Herring has kept tabs on the up-and-comers since 1996, and has been among the first to recognize how companies such as Google, Facebook, Kakao, Alibaba, Twitter, Rakuten, Salesforce.com, Xiaomi and YouTube would change the way we live and work.

“In 2016, selecting the top achievers was difficult as always,” said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring. “The variety, depth, disruption and traction we saw from the early stage companies to those with significant scale made 2016 a great vintage to judge. The Asia winners are representative of the amazing ecosystem that never ceases to astound, with new and experienced entrepreneurs continuing to push the barriers of innovation. As one of the winners, Helper4U.in should be proud of its accomplishment.
