PrimePay’s Free Workshop Helps Scores of Local Business Remain Compliant

West Chester, PA, October 26, 2016 --(PR.com)-- On October 19th, PrimePay, LLC, held a free workshop to help area businesses comply with the Department of Labor's (DOL) new overtime laws that go into effect December 1st. Driven by the axiom of empowering small businesses, Regulatory Compliance Manager, Jessica Jennings, led the hour-long forum at the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.

“With Pennsylvania being home to nearly 1 million small businesses, and many lacking overtime compliance expertise, PrimePay has a strong sense of corporate responsibility to help,” said Steve Jackson, PrimePay’s SVP, Strategic Development & Channel Sales. “Every business, of every size, in every industry will be impacted by the overtime changes. Not adhering to the mandates, even unwittingly, could have devastating effects throughout PA’s economy and beyond.”

Titled Adapting Your Small Biz to Overtime Changes, Jennings broke down the white collar exemption, new rules about highly compensated employees, and amendments to the overtime exemption. Plus, she reviewed actionable steps all companies must take to avoid penalties and disruption of business as usual.

As the new law impacts industries in all parts of the country, PrimePay has released a free eBook for businesses that were unable to attend the Philadelphia workshop. To download Understanding the Overtime Overhaul, visit PrimePay.com/OvertimeOverhaul.
