)-- Goldmine Unlimited, a retail venture of artist couple Bo Lee and Hyeju Park, specializing in vintage furniture and making art, opens their newest space in Hamilton, New Jersey. After spending the past 6 years in Seoul, South Korea; reimagining their business model, (one they started back in 2009 in Philadelphia, PA) they are now back in the U.S, with bigger goals in mind. “We started Goldmine out of need during the recession, there was a huge learning curve and it was a lot of fun,” says Bo Lee. But unable to grow the business, Bo and Hyeju left to live in Seoul, Korea. “In Korea, we thought we would just work in our respective careers but we were unable to let go of this vision we had for this business,” says Hyeju. They developed their business with the community in mind, curating art shows, flea market events and hosting workshops. After six years, their business still continues to be profitable even though the couple now resides in New Jersey. “We wanted to be back in the states, but we wanted to continue our business in Korea, I guess we wanted the best of everything,” says Bo Lee. Their newest space in Hamilton New Jersey will serve as their studio for their individual practice and as a retail space selling vintage furniture. “We make money by selling cool furniture, but we’ve always been heavily involved in the arts as well. We wanted to combine this space into all the things we love and hope to work with the community to develop an interesting place to visit.”
