First Deaf Player in NBA History’s TED Talk Passes One Million Views

Salt Lake City, UT, December 15, 2016 --(PR.com)-- TED Talks with their methodical approach to sharing ideas, are more complex than your general viral videos on facebook and take longer to spread, which is remarkable considering “What is your polygamy?” was able to reach the million view milestone in a relative shorter time.

“I get a lot of comments from people saying ‘You weren’t really talking about polygamy, were you?’,” says Allred, who is now a professional motivational speaker.

“And it’s true. As a motivational speaker, when I speak to corporations and schools, talking about religion is seriously taboo, but the TED stage was perfect as I was able to give insight into a delicate topic, the world of polygamy and my childhood experiences, to create a 'Trojan Horse' platform so to speak. My story is quirky enough that people will engage and then I can challenge them.”

Along with preparing a national speaking tour to schools, Allred is aiming to release his third book, How to Give the Million View TEDx Talk, due out in the spring of 2017.
