The Chairmen’s RoundTable Elects New Board of Directors

Paul Thiel will serve second term as chairman of non-profit organization.

San Diego, CA, April 10, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The Chairmen’s RoundTable (CRT), a San Diego non-profit organization that provides pro-bono mentoring to CEOs of private businesses in the Greater San Diego area, announced today that it has voted in a new board of directors.

Paul Thiel will serve his second term as CRT Chairman.

“Our members are ready to put in another year dedicated to serving San Diego businesses,” said Paul Thiel, CRT’s Chairman. “We are all committed to putting our ‘been-there done-that’ experience to work for local companies and their leaders who find themselves at a strategic crossroads. Our mentors generously share lessons learned – both good and bad – to help these companies develop solid strategies to propel them forward.”

Thiel joined CRT after serving as CEO of TruCost Inc., an information services provider in the hospitality industry based in Sorrento Valley, and two media companies in Orange County, McClain Publishing Co. and Freedom Interactive Inc. He holds an MBA from the University of Virginia, a BA from the University of Connecticut, and completed executive programs at Stanford Business School and Northwestern University. He is currently the regional managing director for BNY Mellon. Thiel started his career as a financial journalist, writing for The Washington Post, the New York Times and the Florida Times-Union.

The balance of its 2017 board of directors appointments: Jason Kruger – Chief Financial Officer; Dave Ryan – Vice Chair, Program Development; Cory Grant – Vice Chair, Sponsor Development; Brett Pernicano – Vice Chair, Partner Relations; David Kramer – Vice Chair, Marketing; Andy Fichthorn – Vice Chair, Client Acquisition; and Dana Shertz, Vice Chair, Mentor Development.
