Marc A. Bianco to Present at the New England ASSE Conference and Exposition

The topic of the presentation will be “Planning for Business Continuity: How Safety Can Solve for Single Points of Failure.”

Southbridge, MA, November 03, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Marc A. Bianco, COO/EVP of United Alliance Services (UASC) will be presenting on emergency planning for businesses at the 19th Annual New England Area Professional Development Conference & Exposition. The conference will take place over two days, November 7 and 8, in Southbridge, MA at the Southbridge Hotel & Conference Center.

The ASSE (American Society for Safety Engineers) was founded in 1911 in response to the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire and currently has over 37,000 members.

“I am proud to have been selected as one of a handful of presenters at this year’s New England Area ASSE professional development conference. ASSE has done a lot to further society’s understanding and promotion of safety in the workplace. The topic that I am presenting on; planning for business continuity, is unfortunately very timely. As we look at the number of natural disasters and workplace shootings that have occurred over the past year, emergency planning is no longer a topic businesses can put on the back burner. This is a topic that is important not only to the business’ ability to stay afloat, but to every individual in your organization,” said Marc Bianco.

Business continuity is a topic that involves planning for return to operations after an emergency or disaster. Marc Bianco will be discussing the criteria for a comprehensive program that solves for business continuity through safety and emergency response planning during his one-hour seminar at the conference.

National disasters like hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Maria, and Jose have recently devastated local businesses in Texas, Florida, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Harvey caused widespread flooding also forcing the temporary closure of refineries; a logical and necessary safety measure. It is an extreme example of safety planning for emergencies.

Marc Bianco will be presenting on the second day of the conference, November 8 at 1:00 pm. All attendees who have registered for the conference are eligible to attend the seminar on Planning for Business Continuity: How Safety Can Solve Single Points of Failure.
