Creating a Stronger Supports Agency

XtraGlobex Facilitates Merger of Alleghenies United Cerebral Palsy and Service Coordination of South Central Pennsylvania

Marlton, NJ, February 08, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Alleghenies United Cerebral Palsy (AUCP) and Service Coordination of South Central Pennsylvania (SCSCP) announced the merger of their service coordination and supports agencies to prepare for the challenges of 2018 and beyond. AUCP is headquartered in Johnstown, PA and provides service coordination services to senior citizens and individuals with disabilities across Pennsylvania while SCSC focused its services on York, Adams, Franklin and Fulton Counties. Both agencies assist their participants in accessing needed supportive services from Medicaid funded programs to help them live independently in the community.

The merger was facilitated by XtraGlobex, Inc. “It is a privilege to be a part of a process that strengthens participants’ access to services and helps maintain their independence in the community,” said XtraGlobex, Inc. President and Founder Fady Sahhar. “The evolution of healthcare demands the leadership and creativity demonstrated by these two organizations.”

The combined agency will continue to operate SCSC offices in Hanover and York, as well as AUCP offices in Johnstown, Duncansville, St. Mary’s, and Monroeville. The programs covered by the two agencies will reach over 1,300 senior citizens, individuals with physical disabilities, and Autism. SCSC will migrate to the AUCP name and brand within the next few months. All current SCSC staff will continue to function in their current positions.

“I am pleased to welcome the SCSC team into our family,” said Tammy Rhoades, CEO of AUCP. “Service Coordination informs participants about the programs and services available to them under their Medicaid programs. Our ability to reach more participants who need our support will allow us to address changes in regulations and meet our participants’ needs more effectively.”

Until 2012, SCSC delivered programs in affiliation with UCP of South Central PA. “Combining our energies and building upon our common heritage in UCP builds on our common values,” said Shelli Panebaker, Executive Director of SCSC. “Our alignment in terms of mission and vision made this merger a next step for our organization.”
