About Dr Barbara Rigby
Barbara is a highly experienced European and Chartered Patent Attorney. Having completed a degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University and a PhD in molecular biology from Warwick University, she specialises in the life sciences and is an active member of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys Life Sciences Committee.
She has extensive experience in drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications in the major global jurisdictions. Her expertise also includes the preparation of patentability opinions, freedom to operate analyses, as well as opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office. She also regularly handles and advises on Supplementary Protection Certificates.
