Morton Grove Chamber Ready for a Busy Spring

The Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce and its Morton Grove Farmers' Market are preparing for a busy spring and summer this year with their list of activities and events to help local businesses and organizations reach out to the community.

Morton Grove, IL, May 10, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Since 1926, the Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MGCCI) has been helping to promote local businesses by advertising, networking, education, social events and advocacy. As spring unfolds, the Chamber of Commerce wants to share some of their benefits, goals and activities with the Morton Grove Community.

The 40th Annual Golf Outing will be held at Chevy Chase Country Club (1000 N. Milwaukee Ave., Wheeling, IL) on June 12, 2018 being joined by the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce and members of the Assyrian American business community. The event begins with a lunch at 12 noon, golf at 1:30 p.m. and dinner at 5:30 p.m. and will include raffles and a silent auction.

A new 48-page printed “Directory & Community Guide” has been published and will be mailed to over ten thousand households and businesses in Morton Grove in mid-May featuring MGCCI Members’ contact information and a wealth of information about Morton Grove and its local institutions. The Chamber recently honored its members presenting them with 5, 10, 20, 30 or 40-year certificates of membership.

The MGCCI will present the 2018 Season of the Morton Grove Farmers’ Market at a new location, 6140 Dempster Street in front of the Civic Center with a special Spring Mothers’ Day Market on May 12, 2018 with the regular season running from June 9 through October 20 every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. (except June 30 when it closes for the Morton Grove Days Celebration in Harrer Park). Weekly vendors, entertainers and special events will be updated on their website, www.mgfarmersmarket.org.

The Morton Grove Chamber participates in the summer Morton Grove Days by presenting its “President’s Cup” trophy to the best July 4th Parade entry and supports the MG Police at their “National Night Out” in August. Networking events are also being planned for the season in conjunction with the Niles, Park Ridge and Skokie Chambers of Commerce and brings together the business, government, civic, faith-based and educational leaders of the area for networking and awareness of everyone’s organization.

The Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce and Industry is dedicated to promoting and advocating for the local business community to ensure the continued economic, cultural and civic well-being of Morton Grove. We are a vehicle for business to work collectively to build their business and enhance the economic make-up of the community. We inform businesses and advocate on their behalf about local, state and federal issues, since 1926.
