Aspiranet’s TFRC offers individual family support, child development courses, parenting education, school readiness programs to support the health and well-being of Turlock families and the community.

Turlock, CA, June 02, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Community members are invited to attend a family-friendly car show, hosted by the Turlock Family Resource Center, June 2 from 10am to 3pm, at the Monte Vista Chapel parking lot, 1619 E. Monte Vista in Turlock. Attendees can enjoy a display of classic cars, food vendors, music, and prize drawings while learning about the Turlock Family Resource Center services, including individual family support, child development courses, parenting education, school readiness programs, and more.

Just in time for Father’s Day, the June 2 event celebrates Aspiranet’s programming which serves children and families in the Turlock community. Car-enthusiasts and families interested in exploring the services and programs available are encouraged to attend, enjoy the activities and meet the Turlock Family Resource Center (TFRC) staff. The TFRC provides services for low-income families with children five years old or younger, families at risk for child abuse or other forms of family violence, and pregnant women who need prenatal care and education. Home-based visiting programs empower parents by helping them set and achieve goals for themselves and their families.

Kathy Davies, Core Division Director at Aspiranet says, “It gives us great satisfaction that our Turlock Family Resource Center is able to offer local families vital resources, child development courses, parenting education classes, prenatal support, school readiness programs, and even basic household and clothing items that help our empower and strengthen our community.”

Local father Ray Perez started attending the Bootcamp for new dads and weekly Nurturing Parenting education classes about a year ago. Perez says, “I like the parenting classes and counseling at the TFRC. Every time I attend I learn something new about taking care of my children, encouraging them and teaching them. I wish I’d known about this Resource Center earlier...it’s definitely made me a better father.”
