AMI and Smart Grid Expert Joins TMG to Build New Practice

Atlanta, GA, July 11, 2018 --(PR.com)-- TMG Consulting is pleased to announce that Jason C. Kinslow has joined the firm as Vice President of AMI and Smart Grid Services.

With more than 25 years of experience leading companies in performance improvement and strategic initiatives, Mr. Kinslow has managed over 80 energy projects ranging from small engagements to large, multi-year global assignments.

His experience in the utility industry includes distribution, transmission, customer services, shared services, and generation (fossil, hydro, and nuclear). Jason has worked for many of the US and Canadian utilities, as well as ones in England, Holland, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. Prior to joining TMG, Mr. Kinslow was the lead partner of IBM’s AMI consulting practice.

Jason is building an AMI and Smart Grid practice for TMG to meet the growing needs of the industry as it continues to expand investments in Smart Technologies. Across the nation, electric utilities have been deploying smart meters as the building blocks for the future smart grid. Current reports estimate Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) in over 50% of US households, with upwards of 70 million AMI devices deployed. The gas and water utilities are likewise ramping up their investments in this area. TMG has proven itself the leader in helping utilities address the complexities of setting technology strategies, choosing the best partners, and providing quality assurance for transformational initiatives. With Jason’s leadership and experience, TMG will expand these capabilities across the AMI and Smart Grid spectrum.

According to Mario Bauer, CEO of TMG Consulting, “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jason early in both of our careers and he has since gone on to become a recognized and respected leader in the industry. We’re very excited to add him to our management team and I know he will add to the TMG brand.”

Jason will also be leading a panel, The Next Wave of Grid Modernization, during the TMG Utility Forum, October 2-3 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is also featured in an Employee Spotlight Interview on TMG Consulting’s website.

“I am extremely honored to join the TMG team,” says Kinslow. “I am looking forward to taking the practices and methodologies that have made TMG an industry leader and applying them to the complexities of AMI and Smart Grid. The experience of the TMG team is unmatched in the industry with deep utility expertise as well as thorough knowledge of the vendors and technologies at play in the market.”
