General Parts Group President Bruce Hodge to Retire; Gary Schermann Named as Successor

Bruce Hodge announced today that he will be retiring from General Parts Group on September 30th.

Bloomington, MN, July 27, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Bruce Hodge announced today that he will be retiring from General Parts Group on September 30th. Bruce has been the company’s President since 1998 and has worked within the foodservice industry for over fifty years. During his tenure, Bruce oversaw significant transformation at General Parts, developing its "whole kitchen" service offering to include refrigeration and HVAC equipment as well as all foodservice equipment. Bruce also oversaw the company’s market expansion to the present twenty-nine locations, serving all or part of twenty-six states, and the opening of the company’s O.E.M. parts distribution division GP-PartsDirect.

In line with the company’s succession plan, General Parts Group is pleased to announce that Gary Schermann, the company’s Vice President of Operations, will be promoted to President. Gary has twenty-one years of experience working for General Parts Group alongside Bruce and will continue the development and expansion of the business in conjunction with the company’s strategy of becoming a national service provider.
