Rose State College Hire Energy FC Director of Player Development as New Women's Soccer Coach

Rose State College hire Oklahoma City Energy FC Director of Player Development and local High School coach Tommy Riley as their new Women's Soccer Coach. Riley, an accomplished coach at multiple levels, will take over a team that finished in the top 20 of the 2017 National Coaches Polls.

Midwest City, OK, August 12, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Rose State College is proud to announce Tommy Riley as the new Head Coach for Women’s Soccer. Riley will take over a Rose State Raider’s team that finished Top 20 in the 2017 National Coaches Poll, and looks to build off that momentum.

Riley currently serves as the Director of Player Development for the Oklahoma City Energy FC, as well as the Boys Soccer Coach at Heritage Hall High School, where he has coached since 1999 and won three 5A State Championships (2013, 2014, 2016). Riley also coached at St. Gregory's University from 2012-2016, serving as the Women's Soccer Coach. “I am so very excited to announce Tommy Riley as our next Head Women’s Coach,” said Rose State Athletic Director Joey DaVault. “Coach Riley has won championships at the national competitive club team and at the high school levels.”

Riley, a native of Liverpool, England, played his college years at Oklahoma City University and has received numerous awards as a player and coach. Riley's accomplishments include 2005 Daily Oklahoman Coach of the Year, 2003 and 2016 NSCAA State Coach of the Year, and 2016 NSCAA Regional Coach of the Year, just to name a few.

“We continue to develop our soccer teams to compete among the nation’s elite NJCAA programs, and Coach Riley will help us accomplish that goal,” said DaVault.

The Rose State College Women open their season on August 25 against 2017 NJCAA National Champion Tyler Junior College. The game will kickoff at 3 pm.
