Congressman Mike Kelly Tours Automation Devices

Pennsylvania State Representative, Mike Kelly, tours ADI.

Erie, PA, August 30, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Automation Devices, Inc. (ADI), a vibratory feeder and automation equipment company, recently received a visit from U.S. Representative Mike Kelly. Mr. Kelly was touring area businesses to learn more about the variety of industries in Northwest PA.

The Congressman’s stop, also welcomed Jezree Friend, a representative from the Manufacturer and Business Association, as well as Mr. Kelly’s local branch manager. The engagement included a plant tour, a rundown of ADI’s three longstanding divisions and a discussion of the overall current business climate with ADI President Kevin Smith. “We are always more than happy to give people a closer look at what we do,” explained Smith. “Even a quick trip through our plant can give visitors a deeper understanding of our company culture and the pride we have in our work.”

The conversation noted Smith’s belief that ADI is currently mimicking a large majority of the country who feels an overall confidence in the current state of the economy. “Here at ADI we are following the trend and adopting the notion that there is immense value in reinvesting in our business. More specifically, we’ve made that commitment with a large capital purchase of a new laser cutting machine, as well as a new ERP system. Also mentioned was the nation’s rise in employment levels. It is encouraging to see that uptick in the economy,” says Smith. “On the downside, we don’t always have qualified candidates when we do have jobs that need to be filled. We need to work on bridging that gap.”

Mr. Kelly was making district visits while Congress is in recess, with a goal of five visits a day. “I welcomed the opportunity and am very pleased that ADI fit into his schedule.” Automation Devices, Inc. is a vibratory feeder manufacturer in Fairview, PA specializing in vibratory feeders, centrifugal feeders, hoppers and vibratory controllers.
