Psychological Associates Introduces Emotional Intelligence Workshop

New program highlights ways to build effective leadership behaviors.

St. Louis, MO, September 26, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Psychological Associates, a consulting company that applies behavioral science to business performance, recently introduced its newest workshop called “Emotional Intelligence: Focus on Self.” The four-hour training program – which utilizes activities focused on building capacity within an organization’s leaders – identifies and optimizes productive patterns of thoughts and emotions as a foundation for choosing effective leadership behaviors.

The workshop highlights the importance of self-awareness in leadership development. Since a fundamental component of building self-awareness is emotional intelligence, the program will address the many facets of identifying and managing one’s own emotions as well as the emotions of others in order to problem solve and productively work with colleagues.

Dr. Patricia Bagsby, Vice President of Organizational Consulting at Psychological Associates, developed the workshop. With 10 years of leadership development, facilitation, and training and program development background, Dr. Bagsby’s integrated approach combines behavioral sciences, change management and process improvement principles.

“Emotional intelligence is more than just a trendy buzzword,” said Dr. Bagsby. “Understanding and improving the connection between emotions and actions is crucial to both business and personal success. In this workshop, participants develop skills and techniques that will help them manage their work relationships more effectively, enhancing team performance and overall career success.”
