Rhoads Makes Personnel & Use Plans for Recently Acquired Building 68
Philadelphia, PA, October 06, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Rhoads Industries, Inc. (Rhoads), a strategic partner and total solution provider of industrial fabrication, installation, maintenance services and facilities, has announced its plans for Building 68, the location of the Company’s new training facility. These plans include the hiring of more than one hundred skilled laborers and additional management personnel.
The Rhoads Industries, Inc. Training Center in Philadelphia supports all areas of the Company, including Department of Defense, Industrial Services and Maritime operations. Rhoads acquired control of the Philadelphia Navy Yard facility in March 2018. This location will play a critical role as the Company continues to recruit new employees and train its growing staff to meet an increasing volume of work.
At 7,500-square-feet, Building 68 contains eighteen welding booths, three separate classrooms and additional areas for training. Classrooms will be used for the delivery of programs on topics ranging from safety, metrics and blueprint reading to gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), crane operation and welding codes.
Rhoads has also hired a full-time Training Coordinator, and Welding Instructor, to assist in the management of the B68 facility and its programs. With this new space for employee training and testing, the Company has the facility it needs to train and test new hires. The Center will also be the home base for Rhoads’ apprenticeship participants and will provide a needed environment to assist participants and incumbent workers in passing welding certification tests up to level 6G.
The acquisition of Building 68 is a significant indicator of both Rhoads’ commitment to the Philadelphia market, as well as its ability to effectively add to its workforce and develop their skill sets.
