Applewood Our House Named Finalist for BBB Torch Award for Marketplace Trust

Company provides care to those with late-stage dementias.

Arvada, CO, November 17, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Applewood Our House was recently honored as a finalist for the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics for medium-sized businesses. The company has five residential assisted living homes for those with memory care needs, and also was honored with the same award in 2016.

Encouraging and supporting ethical business practices is a key purpose of the BBB. The Torch Award is the most prestigious award the BBB can present to a business. Being a recipient indicates that the business not only believes in the high standards promoted by the BBB, but also consistently acts on them and continuously integrates them into daily practices.

“We’re honored to be recognized as a finalist for this prestigious award,” says Alan Wyngarden, Applewood Our House Owner. “To us, integrity means doing the right thing for our residents all of the time—whether or not anyone is watching. We offer excellent care with heart. Our mission is to bring joy to our residents and help their families to make new memories with them.”

Applewood Our House recently held a Fall Festival Event/Sneak Preview of its fifth memory care group home in North Arvada, set to open this month. Hundreds of people turned out to see the new home, participate in activities with residents and staff, and learn more about the care their family members could receive there. Twelve of the 16 private rooms have already been reserved for new residents.

Applewood Our House V was designed with residents in mind. It has spectacular views of the mountain range, from Pikes Peak to Longs Peak, and is surrounded by more than ½-acre yard with a walking path to enjoy the outdoors. Many other outdoor activities are located in the yard for the residents to enjoy.

The interior of the new home has an open floor plan with a great room for enjoyment and relaxation. The kitchen is at the heart of the house and features natural cherry cabinets, solid surface counter-tops, and graphite appliances.
