LOVEFRESH Creates Affordable, Zero-Waste Soap By-Product for eco+amour

LOVEFRESH partners with Toronto sustainable living boutique to offer 100% biodegradable laundry soap using post-production soap scraps.

Toronto, Canada, December 04, 2018 --(PR.com)-- In an effort to be more sustainable, Toronto-based beauty and home brand LOVEFRESH has created a zero-waste, post-production cleaning product for sustainable living boutique eco+amour. The 100% natural and biodegradable laundry and cleaning scrub is made from cold process soap scraps and has a light clean scent.

“Being sustainable in our daily operations is one of our top priorities at Lovefresh. We make hundreds of soaps weekly so being able to repurpose the excess soap bits is a great achievement for us and consumers who want to shop sustainably,” says Stacey Davis, founder of LOVEFRESH. “We’re saving about 25 pounds of excess soap from going to waste by creating this cleaning and laundry solution.”

Sarah Marcus, founder of eco+amour says, “We’re always happy to collaborate with brands that value sustainability. We love that this product in particular is literally zero waste, biodegradable and waterway safe. Our customers come to our store expecting these kinds of products, and we love that in this case it’s all very Toronto local.”

The intro price for the laundry and cleaning solution is $0.01 per gram, which makes it a truly affordable cleaning option. Marcus adds, “The wonderful thing about selling a by-product is that we don’t have to mark it up like we do with regular merchandise. The ability to provide this quality product at an amazing price makes us very happy.”
