The Quinting Cup, a Prestigious Horse Racing in Macao Sponsored by Quinting

Geneva, Switzerland, March 10, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Quinting Cup, horse racing sponsored by Quinting, Swiss manufacturer of unique transparent watches, took place on February 12, 2006 in Macau`s Taipa island, a part of China`s territory which is considered Monte-Carlo of Asia due to its well developed entertainment and gambling industry.

This event was staged by the Macau Jockey Club, one of Asia`s most technologically advanced courses, where more than 900 thoroughbreds from England, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the US and France are trained, attracting trainers and jockeys from around the world.

Carrying a prizemoney of $680,000, the Quinting Cup was competed by 12 horses rated 80 or above over 1,400 metres on turf and was won by Eric Legrix, one of France`s most respected jockeys. This day he was riding the gelding coming from New Zealand and bearing the glamorous name, Rock N Roll Kid.

The presentation ceremony took place immediately after the race and was officiated by Pascal Berclaz, president of Quinting and representatives of its Hong Kong and Macau agent, Chances Island Group.

Besides receiving a winning Trophy, Eric Legrix, the winning owner of the Quinting cup, was also awarded a Quinting watch worth $16,000. A special guest. Ms Michelle Ye, one of the most known Asian actresses, was presented, in appreciation of her appearance, a Quinting watch worth $10,000.
