Business Leaders John Thiel and Peter Lichtenthal to Speak at Social Capital 2019

Former Head of Merrill Lynch and Former Estée Lauder Global Brand President to join distinguished roster of speakers at invitation-only gathering of leading causes and partners in social impact in Alexandria, VA.

Charlotte, NC, February 21, 2019 --(PR.com)-- John Thiel, My Next Season Partner and Senior Advisor, will join a distinguished roster of thought leaders at Social Capital, the tenth annual gathering of leading causes and partners in social impact in Alexandria, VA.

“Bringing together some of the brightest minds in business and philanthropy can only yield good results,” Thiel said of the upcoming conference. “My Next Season has partnered with Social Capital and their non-profit leaders in a collaboration that ensures both our clients and theirs continue to share knowledge and impact. The caliber of non-profits represented at this annual conference is top-notch, and I’m excited to be part of the exchange of great ideas.”

In a session titled “Leadership Conversation,” Thiel will provide practical advice on building authentic relationships and trust for greater social impact. He will draw from his own legacy of caring, engaged leadership in both the corporate and not-for-profit worlds—as former Head of Merrill Lynch and active board member of the V Foundation and other charitable organizations.

The conference’s lineup of dynamic speakers also includes Peter Lichtenthal, My Next Season Advisor and former Estée Lauder Global Brand President. Lichtenthal, who held concurrent leadership roles over multiple prestige beauty brands including Bobbi Brown, Bumble and bumble, and Smashbox, is an expert in forging strategic partnerships to maximize creative contribution, business success, and social impact. He currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Point Foundation Board of Directors and is on the Board of Second Stage Theater in New York City. He will draw from his extensive marketing expertise to discuss how organizations can transform their position in a session titled “Brand Master Conversation.”

“I look forward to exploring big-picture consumer and cultural trends and how they are causing both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations to challenge, rethink, and reengineer their marketing strategies in order to compete and win in today’s rapidly changing world,” said Lichtenthal.

Social Capital is an invite-only gathering that brings together practitioners from top national and global causes, corporations, and foundations for a candid exchange on growing social impact. Industry leaders who are co-creating today’s most innovative solutions share their insights on what is new and next—from cause marketing to multifaceted partnerships and employee and consumer engagement.

Social Capital takes place February 26–28, 2019, in Alexandria, VA.
