Abstract

Following the termination of the Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program (OVDP), the IRS issued new Voluntary Disclosure Practice (VCP) procedures in November 2018. The revised VCP practice is applicable to domestic and offshore voluntary disclosures. Significant changes include modifications on tax return filing, penalties imposed, and disclosure period. Counsel, therefore, must have an in-depth understanding of these recent amendments to be able to mitigate potential risks involved in considering voluntary disclosure.

In this live Webcast, a seasoned panel of thought leaders and professionals brought together by The Knowledge Group will provide an in-depth analysis of the fundamentals as well as recent developments surrounding the new and updated voluntary disclosure program. Speakers will also present the significant issues taxpayers and counsel must consider before filing for voluntary disclosure.

Some of the major topics that will be covered in this course are:

- The New Voluntary Disclosure Practice: An Overview
- Updates and Emerging Issues
- Risks and Opportunities
- Issues to Consider Before Filing
- Best Compliance Practices and Strategies
