Appalachian Underwriters, Inc. is pleased to announce the hiring of three new Underwriters, April Cook, Amanda Setchfield, and Carol Armstrong, to the Commercial Specialty division.
St. Peters, MO, May 23, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Appalachian Underwriters, Inc. is pleased to announce the hiring of three new Underwriters, April Cook, Amanda Setchfield, and Carol Armstrong, to the Commercial Specialty division.
Cook comes to AUI with an extensive background in the underwriting industry, starting as a Property and Casualty Renewal Underwriter with an agency in 1996, moving on to Workers’ Compensation and then Commercial Lines Underwriting with different competitors. She will be working in the St. Peters, MO office, quoting Commercial Package submissions for West agents.
Setchfield will also be quoting Commercial Package accounts in our St. Peters office with a focus on FL and Midwest states. She started with a large, independently owned wholesaler in the mid-2000s, moving from Underwriting Assistant to Senior Underwriter.
Armstrong will be focusing on Xpress BOP (Business Owner Policy) submissions, both through AUI’s online rater and email submissions, at AUI’s Oak Ridge, TN headquarters. Her background in Commercial Insurance Underwriting dates back to 1989, and she most recently served as Senior Sales Manager with a competitor agency.
