Darmstadt, Germany, October 24, 2019 --(PR.com
)-- Carrying out reliable pressure tests within confined areas, such as gearboxes or coolant systems, is now a much simpler process for engineers with the launch of HBM’s miniature pressure transducer series - P60.
As the pressure transducer is compact, lightweight and easy to install, it qualifies to be used in many industries, such as automotive, aerospace, rail transport or ships. With a pressure range up to 200 bar, the transducer’s also ideal for R&D of gearboxes, periphery parts for combustion engines, hydraulic clutches and water cooler circuits – or any other application involving pressure measurement at high temperatures.
The P60’s accuracy class of 0.3 makes it particularly suitable for pressure measurements in the fields of research and development. The strain-gauge technology enables users to acquire reliable static pressure data and safely carry out tests on products with dynamic pressure profiles. This also makes it uncomplicated for users to find a compatible amplifier within HBM’s portfolio.
The transducer is available with four nominal (rated) pressure ranges and six connectors, all with different threads, ensuring a fitting version can be found for most types of application. The miniature connector has been integrated into the sensor and a flexible measuring lead ensures it’s easy to connect onto test objects, even in confined areas.

As a global player in the Test and Measurement world, HBM co-operates with Kyowa Electric Instruments Co., Ltd. in several areas. This series of pressure transducers is the next outcome of this fruitful partnership and follows the successful launch of the High-Temperature Strain Gauge series KFU.
