The Phoenix Group Named Mailer of the Year by USPS and GPPCC

Philadelphia, PA, October 25, 2019 --(PR.com)-- The Phoenix Group of Companies, a leading full-service provider of comprehensive printing, packaging, mailing, and fulfillment solutions, announced today that it has been awarded the Mailer of the Year award by the Greater Philadelphia Postal Customer Council (GPPCC).

The Phoenix Group was nominated for Mailer of the Year by the United States Postal Service Manager of Business Mail Entry for the Philadelphia District and selected by the PCC executive board as the award recipient. The award recognizes local mailers that adopt best practices and achieve business growth through USPS outreach programs.

The GPPCC aims to create close beneficial working relationships between Philadelphia area mailers and the Postal Service and foster good relations with the business community. The Council also offers a forum for member mailers to discuss their evolving needs; share their industry knowledge; learn about postal regulations, mailing trends, and new USPS initiatives; and work with other members to solve unique mailing challenges and stay competitive in their markets.

The Phoenix Group’s win was announced at the recent National PCC Day event in Philadelphia, one of many events that took place nationwide during September’s National PCC Week. The yearly events give businesses the opportunity to learn from local postal leaders about current USPS best practices and programs for mailing and shipping.

USPS headquarters executives attended the awards, and District Manager of Philadelphia Charles Touey, Jr. cited The Phoenix Group’s ongoing cooperation with the USPS, specifically its high level of mail preparation quality, professionalism, and mail knowledge and the work it has put into establishing a Detached Mail Unit (DMU). For businesses that meet the highest level of presorting capability, this is a designated area where postal employees perform mail verification, acceptance, dispatch, and other mailing tasks.

The District Manager also commended The Phoenix Group’s migration to Seamless Acceptance, a USPS program that automates the entry and verification of commercial mailings after mailers maintain specific mail quality measurements within a strict error percentage threshold. This program gives The Phoenix Group a competitive edge for its clients by achieving greater flexibility in mailing jobs.

Frank Lindenman, The Phoenix Group’s Direct Mail Manager, was recognized by the District Manager for keeping the USPS well-informed of the printing provider’s everyday logistics - a daily communication effort that ensures all mail moves through The Phoenix Group with great accuracy.

“We’re honored to receive this award from our local Postal Customer Council,” said Chairman Barry Green. “Each one of our locations works hard to uphold the highest standards in our mailing processes to offer our clients exceptional printing solutions that meet their quality needs and strict deadlines. The USPS has allowed us to keep up with industry trends and make the most of the latest technology, and we’re proud to be recognized for our role as a mailer. The Phoenix Group of Companies is committed to growth in the mailing sector, and we’re excited to continue our strong partnership with USPS and the GPPCC.”
