EQUUS Magazine Launches New Podcast for Horse Owners

The 3 Things from EQUUS podcast will share actionable and timely tips applicable to all horse owners.

Boulder, CO, February 28, 2021 --(PR.com)-- EQUUS magazine, the publication more horse owners turn to for advice and information, has launched a new podcast: 3 Things from EQUUS. Produced and hosted by longtime editor Laurie Prinz and managing editor Christine Barakat, the monthly podcast will highlight specific areas of horsekeeping for the month ahead with a simple list of action items.

“We know people are busy and our goal is to help them to focus their efforts in a direction that will most benefit their horses for the month ahead,” says Prinz.

The podcast’s soft-launch February episode featured information on keeping horses healthy during cold and inclement weather. Punctuated by personal anecdotes from Prinz and Barakat, both lifelong equestrians, the episode’s actionable takeaways included: a reminder to check underneath horse blankets, how to keep snow from balling up in hooves and methods to ensure horses stay hydrated.

“As a lifelong horseperson I know the value of practical information that can be put to immediate use at the barn,” says Barakat. “That’s what we try to provide with each episode.”

The next three episodes will cover the following topics:

March: vaccinations, grazing muzzles, shedding
April: laminitis, conditioning, grooming
May: hoof care, fly control, Salt

New episodes air on the first Monday of the month. The next episode will air on March 1, 2021.

3 Things from EQUUS is available for listening on Apple Podcasts and SoundCloud, and will soon be coming to other favorite podcast platforms.
