)-- Mayor of Clayton, Missouri and General Manager of CI Select Flooring Solutions- Linda Goldstein joins SBTV.com to develop an exclusive podcast series on businesses “ building green.”
Eight hundred cities across the United States are reaching out to business owners to not only work green, but also build green. In this exclusive podcasts series, Goldstein talks about the “green movement, ” the importance of “building green” and what she is currently doing to help improve the enviroment.
As the General Manager of CI Select- Goldstein has been actively involved with carpet reclamation since 1999. The company became partners with DuPont on a behind the scenes program initially designed to recycle carpet. According to Goldstein, CI Select has been responsible for the reclamation of over one million square yards of used carpeting.
When she’s not running a business- Goldstein is running a city as the first women elected Mayor for the city of Clayton Missouri; and is an active participant in the US Mayors’ Climate Protection Agreement. During the mayor’s first year in office Clayton’s first Green developments, were completed.
