New York, NY, May 17, 2021 --(PR.com)-- Cyber Institute’s Executive Director for the Center for Women and Minorites, Taylor Rodriguez Vance, and Executive Director for the Center for Cyber Risk Research and Policy, Andrew Vance were recently appointed as Committee Members by Cloud Security Alliance (CSA). CSA said they established a group of experts to evolve and improve the content at CSA events. This group of experts, the CSA Event Content Review Committee (https://web.cvent.com/event/251d1797-10d4-4049-a1e2-2a6881e58e89/websitePage:1e2c78fb-527d-4e10-b13f-ce139a68526e), will be active year-round and members will review Calls for Participation and Calls for Speakers and suggest modifications to submittals, speakers, and panels. CSA said executives from the Cyber Institute were selected for their “experience influencing the security and business requirements of cloud infrastructure deployments as well as knowledge of current industry concerns about the safeguarding of cloud environments.” Taylor said she is “pleased to share her experience as a current Cloud Security Subject Matter Expert for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs” to help CSA advance cloud initiatives for the community. Andrew said his interest and experience extends nearly a decade to when he was a Research Fellow working for the Department of Defense. He worked on cloud adoption projects that led him to publish peer-reviewed research presented at scientific conferences in Hong Kong in 2011 and Ukraine in 2014 (https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/author/38234548600). Andrew said, “There continues to be a need for innovative cloud security policy, practice, and education to ensure an even wider adoption of the technology.”
