)-- The 2008 Northern California Career Summit, hosted by Job Connections, is a free, half-day conference targeted to Bay Area professionals looking to enhance their professional skills. The Summit will be held Saturday, May 31 from 8:00 AM to 2PM at the Community Presbyterian Church in Danville, CA.
According to The East Bay Business Times (April 12, 2008), unemployment rates in the East Bay rose in March, with the statewide jobless rate of 6.4 percent, and Alameda and Contra Costa counties at 5.5 percent.
