Sonitrol Pacific Operator Detects Break-in at School

The actions of a Sonitrol Pacific operator led police to arrest one suspected intruder at a Washington elementary school.

Everett, WA, May 29, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Police arrested one suspected intruder at a local elementary school after a Sonitrol Pacific operator heard suspicious activity through real-time audio sensors May 18.

As an experienced sound analyst, the operator knew immediately something was amiss when he received the impact activated alarm. He listened to real-time audio from sensors at the school and heard loud bangs and sounds of breakage. The operator dispatched the school district’s guard service and the local sheriff’s department.

Officers arrived at the school just in time to see a young man starting to run away. They promptly caught up with him and took him into custody.
